Naofumi Hataya and Tomoya Ohtani on Sonic Lost World Original Soundtrack:
Sugar Lane
Hataya: This is not a joke but real story that what I thought of on the occasion of making the candy stage music is whether these candies are made in Japan or in foreign countries. After all, it is the world’s Sonic there, so they are probably made in Europe and America. One of each sound in which the music is composed is sweet as it is and I have made sure that I set it like a candy house. They are products of the West, so there are particulars of having unique flavor although a little rough. I also wanna make a domestic version sometime. That’s a lie.
Ohtani: At the beginning of the project, I had formed the plan of sharing the stage music production with some people, but I requested the veteran Hataya, who holds the nickname “Sweets Hataya,” for only the music of the fancy, pop, and sweet candy stage. It is a visual stage with impact, but I think that it is a completion that splendidly captured the stage’s characteristic matching the tempo feeling of playing!
